Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Cardiology and the Heart Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Emory University School of Medicine, is seeking to hire a non-invasive imaging pediatric cardiologist to join our team of dedicated imaging physicians. The position requires expertise in all facets of echocardiography with particular emphasis on transthoracic and transesophageal imaging. All levels of experience are encouraged to apply. The candidate will join the division of pediatric cardiology of Emory University School of Medicine, with 57 faculty members led by Dr. William Mahle.

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is the largest pediatric referral center in the Southeast, with 550 pediatric beds, and 1,400 pediatric general and specialist healthcare providers. The pediatric cardiac program at Emory is one of the largest in the United States, performing over 800 cardiac surgeries each year. Emory has large pediatric residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship programs, with five categorical fellows per year in addition to advanced training programs in imaging, catheterization, electrophysiology, intensive care, and heart failure. Our cardiac program has been consistently ranked as a top program nationally in US News and World Report.

The cardiac program performs more than 40,000 transthoracic and 650 transesophageal echocardiograms annually. The fetal cardiac program has a broad referral base and performs more than 2,500 fetal echocardiograms per year. Echo research support is provided by the cardiac imaging research core (CIRC), which includes research coordinators and statistical support, as well as core lab facilities for both echo and MRI studies.

The candidate should have completed categorical fellowship as well as advanced imaging training and be BC/BE in pediatric cardiology. In addition to clinical and research duties, teaching responsibilities include the education of pediatric residents and fellows. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
