Emory University, Department of Pediatrics and the Heart Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is recruiting a pediatric cardiologist for diagnostic and interventional catheterization. The Children’s Heart Center is the largest pediatric cardiac center in the southeast performing over 1200 catheterizations and over 800 cardiac surgical procedures annually. The physician would be a member of the Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics at the Assistant or Associate Professor level and would be employed directly by Sibley Heart Center Cardiology. Sibley Heart Center Cardiology is a wholly owned subsidiary of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Interested candidates should have experience and expertise with all types of diagnostic and catheter-based cardiovascular interventions. The ideal candidate should have between 2-5 years of experience in interventional cardiology though candidates of other levels of experience will be considered. This is a full-time position. Night, weekend, and holiday call will be as assigned by physician schedule. Clinical will be primarily service time in the cardiac catheterization lab with additional inpatient and outpatient activities. The physician is expected to deliver the highest quality pediatric cardiology services to patients, their families, and associated partners. The large pediatric cardiology training program requires excellent teaching and mentoring skills. Participation in local and national conferences to promote further education is expected. Additional clinical responsibilities may extend to the outpatient environment.
Interested candidates should be Board Certified (or eligible) in Pediatric Cardiology and will be required to remain Board Certified throughout their employment. Rank and salary will be based on experience.
