Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University are seeking a pediatric hospitalist to work in the Children’s Heart Center as a frontline care provider. The candidate will be assigned clinical duties in the cardiac stepdown unit or cardiac intensive care unit at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Egleston Campus and work alongside cardiology fellows, advanced practice providers (APPs), critical care fellows, and pediatric residents providing care to patients with medical and surgical heart disease. Supervision in the cardiac stepdown unit will be provided by cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons; supervision in the cardiac intensive care unit will be provided by cardiac intensivists and cardiothoracic surgeons.

This is a full-time clinical position with daytime, nighttime, and weekend shift requirements. Full benefits will be provided through clinical appointment at the Emory University School of Medicine.

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is the largest pediatric referral center in the Southeast with the Heart Center being one of the largest and busiest in the United States performing more than 800 cardiac surgeries per year. The cardiac acute care unit is a 35-bed dedicated cardiac inpatient unit and the cardiac intensive care unit is a dedicated 32 bed unit with over 1000 admissions per year.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Board certified or board eligible in general pediatrics

• Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing as part of the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Professional Staff.

• PALS certification is required.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families and as a team member.
