This post-doctoral position is in the laboratories of Dr. Chris Larsen and Dr. Haydn Kissick. The work aims to study the mechanisms that cause allograft rejection in patients and animal models. This project is funded by ARPA-H and has the goal of rapid translation of pre-clinical studies to patients, giving the candidate a unique opportunity to work at the interface of basic research and translational science.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a topic related to Immunology, and skills in any of the following: Flow cytometry, Mouse models, Epitope mapping, molecular techniques or bioinformatics.

In addition to these areas, our labs have strong expertise mouse models to study immune response, bioinformatics, human subject research, basic immunology around cancer and transplantation, molecular biology. In addition, the candidate will have the opportunity to be regularly present their work and interact with the wider Emory community as part of the Emory Transplant Center, Winship Cancer Institute and Emory Vaccine Center. These skills will prepare the candidate for transition to an independent research position at the end of the training period.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A doctoral degree or equivalent (Ph.D., M.D., ScD., D.V.M., DDS etc) in an appropriate field. Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills. The ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues. Additional qualifications as specified by the Principal Investigator.
