The Pedersen Epilepsy and Systems Neuroscience Lab at Emory University is looking for a creative, productive, and motivated postdoctoral fellow to join a funded project examining large-scale network dynamics with multi-site electrophysiological data.

Applicants should have a PhD, or be in the final stages of obtaining their PhD, preferably in Cognitive Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, or a closely related area, and have a strong background in memory research, including a knowledge of the human memory. Successful applicants will have a strong publication history, quantitative background, expertise in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB, and experimental design and cognitive task development skills. Experience with special patient populations is also desirable. Personal qualities that are especially welcome are an orientation toward collaboration and team work, enthusiasm for neuroscience, curiosity, and scientific rigor.

This work will afford training in sleep-wake neurobiology, epilepsy and translational basic neuroscience, electrophysiologic analysis of network activity in both mice and human subjects from intracranial recording, as well as handling of multi-unit data in mice.

Successful candidates will enjoy a non-hierarchical, creative and dynamic laboratory environment with weekly multi-lab lab meetings/journal club as well as departmental and excellent graduate program seminar series. We especially welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds.
