Description

Primary responsibilities include development and application of statistical methods for analyzing microbiome sequencing data. Examples of ongoing projects include analyzing longitudinal microbiome data, microbiome data with survival outcomes, and multi-omics data such as microbiome and metabolomic data. The successful applicant will also have opportunities to develop statistical methods for other omics data such as genetic and genomic data, and will also be welcome to pursue independent research topics of mutual interest. The work will involve both methodological research with Drs. Yi-Juan Hu and Glen A. Satten and collaboration with subject-matter researchers from other schools such as the School of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Public Health, and Children’s Hospital of Atlanta.

Applicants should have a PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field. The Applicants should have solid statistical background; strong computational skill; and excellent oral and written skills. Knowledge in R is required.
