Within the collaborative research of Dean Jones, PhD and Young-Mi Go, PhD postdoctoral trainee will receive advanced training from Dr. Jones and Dr. Go in order to enhance their professional skills and research independence needed for a career in research.
The postdoctoral trainee will help design and conduct research in the fields of redox biology, toxicology, molecular and cellular biology, and omics study (redox proteomics, metabolomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics). The postdoctoral trainee will need to design, evaluate experiments, and develop new ideas that promote current research and prepare and publish scientific manuscripts under the direction of Dr. Jones and Dr. Go. The postdoctoral trainee will be encouraged to submit their own fellowship and grant applications during the period of training for a career development.
The PhD candidate expected to finish his/her study in the field of above within few months or postdoc fellow with less than 1 year experience can apply.
Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills are required, and
an applicant should be eligible for applying grants/fellowships supported by federal funding
sources (US citizenship or permanent resident status of applicant is preferable).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A doctoral degree or equivalent (Ph.D., M.D., ScD., D.V.M., DDS etc) in an appropriate field. Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills. The ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues. Additional qualifications as specified by the Principal Investigator.
