The Rahman Lab at Emory University is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team to conduct NIH funded research project focused on re-generative immunology under HIV/SIV infection conditions aimed at enhancing T cell targeted therapies for HIV cure.

This position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about HIV cure research to engage in innovative studies and gain expertise in cutting-edge techniques, including organoid culture, re-generative immunology, virology, and OMICS approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and conduct experiments.

• Collaborate with team members to work and expand on existing research in lab.

• Work with human and nonhuman primate derived tissue samples infected with HIV/SIV.

• Analyze and interpret data, prepare reports, and contribute to manuscripts for publication.

• Present research findings at internal and external meetings, conferences, and seminars.

• Assist with grant writing and development of research proposals.

• Stay current with advancements in HIV research and related fields.

Qualifications:

• A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Immunology, Virology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.

• Demonstrated expertise in HIV or SIV research is highly desirable.

• Strong background in viral immunology. Experience with hematopoietic stem cell preferred.

• Experience with flow cytometry, cell culture, molecular biology techniques, and/or animal models.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• A strong track record of scientific productivity, evidenced by peer-reviewed publications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A doctoral degree or equivalent (Ph.D., M.D., ScD., D.V.M., DDS etc) in an appropriate field. Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills. The ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues. Additional qualifications as specified by the Principal Investigator.
