Emory Healthcare/Emory University Program Administrator, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Atlanta, Georgia
Reporting to the Associate Director of Academic Administration, the DNP Program Administrator will serve as the primary liaison between students, faculty, and administration for the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing’s (NHWSN) DNP Program. Working in partnership with other NHWSN departments, the DNP Program Administrator will collect and analyze data related to student satisfaction, program evaluation, operational competencies, and budgetary efficiency which will help influence the NHWSN administration’s strategic planning.
The DNP Program Administrator will be part of the Office of Education, representing the NHWSN’s DNP Program at various meetings and events. In collaboration with other Office of Education staff, the DNP Program Administrator will ensure the highest quality of educational excellence is delivered to achieve outcomes that are significant and distinctive through strategic planning and the evaluation of program deliverables on a continuous basis.
The DNP Program Administrator will serve as the primary support person for the DNP Program Directors. This includes (but not limited to): calendar management, event planning, recording meeting minutes, drafting correspondences, developing promotional materials, verifying records, expense reports, budgetary tracking, and various tasks related to document preparation.
The DNP Program Administrator will collaborate with the Office of Clinical Credentialing, Compliance, and Placements to initiate affiliation and credentialing for DNP projects, track incident reports, and provide backup support for DNP student credentialing and compliance.
JOB DETAILS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as the primary point person for DNP students for any academic issues, questions or inquiries.
Works to de-escalate and resolve student issues when possible; coordinates and communicates escalated students issues with faculty and administration as necessary.
Distributes information to each DNP cohort via listservs and other NHWSN communication platforms
Validates student records and assists with student registration.
Assists with and maintains records related to student issues in collaboration with the Office of Student Affairs.
Under direction of the DNP Program Directors, tracks and administers special study plans for students.
Continuously maintains and updates the DNP Program dashboard report with data related to student satisfaction, performance, pass rates, diversity/inclusion, trends, enrollment statistics, and additional information as requested by Program Leadership and NHWSN Administration.
Maintains and updates DNP Toolkit Sharepoint site to ensure students and faculty have access to most recent resources, guides, and information regarding Emory DNP Program.
Collaborates with the Office of Admissions on DNP Program enrollment goals and strategies. Reviews admission materials and coordinates interviews and/or next steps with DNP faculty.
Provides admissions and enrollment reports to DNP Program Directors on a monthly basis.
Tracks and assists in developing action and/or goal setting plans for DNP who require additional support.
Coordinates DNP Program faculty meetings, including agenda preparation/distribution, recording of minutes, and meeting moderation.
Supports DNP Program Directors with administrative tasks related to day-to-day operations of the DNP Program.
Tracks and maintains various organizational memberships for faculty and affiliations related to the DNP Program.
Serves as liaison between the DNP Program and other NHWSN departments.
Provides counsel to DNP faculty on NHWSN strategic planning and goals.
Represents the DNP Program at Office of Education recurring meetings.
Tracks and communicates any changes or updates related to DNP Education.
Plans, manages, and communicates various DNP events including but not limited to: student orientation, cohort meetings, award ceremonies, faculty meetings, student events, and luncheons.
Responsible for planning and managing on-campus DNP sessions. Duties may include all preparatory and day-of communications, coordinating Canvas site materials, event catering, room reservations and logistics planning, coordinating speaker gifts, processing honorariums, and post-event survey analysis.
Assists with various NHWSN events, some of which may occur outside of regular business hours.
Interdepartmental Collaboration and Development
Serves on at least one NHWSN committee.
Attends developmental training as required.
Serves as the DNP Program representative in monthly staff meetings and other NHWSN engagements.
Actively participates in NHWSN events such as ceremonies, lectures, outings, and retreats as necessary.
Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program.
Two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Experience in customer service
Excellent writing, editing, and oral communication skills
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with many competing priorities and deadlines
Creative, energetic, and confident
Passion for learning and acquiring new skills
Analytical and strategic thinker
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
