Emory Healthcare/Emory University Program Coordinator (Part-time) in Atlanta, Georgia



Primary duties are organizing, coordinating, and planning operational facets of a program and its related activities which include, but are not limited to the following: establishing long-term operational objectives, researching factors that may impact the success of the program, and working with individuals or groups to research and document program requirements in order to provide appropriate input into the development of strategic plans. Develops work plans to accomplish program goals and objectives and monitors progress toward their achievement. Conducts research and gathers information to develop various publications. Develops promotional materials which may include content for reports, briefings, newsletters, grants or other written information related to the program. Assists in developing and coordinating program-related conferences, conventions, or meetings. Monitors expenditures and may participate in the budget planning process and prepare financial reports. May assist in identifying funding resources and developing fund-raising strategies and initiatives. Prepares operational and statistical reports. Conducts training, represents the program at meetings and conferences, and networks with affiliated groups. May supervise assigned project staff, interns and/or volunteers. Performs related responsibilities as required. This is not an administrative support position.


  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program and two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.


  • Five years of experience with an ACCME or ADA CERP accredited continuing education provider.

  • Experience in planning medical education activities is required.

Additional Details


  • Oversee program planning to insure compliance with accreditation guidelines for educational planning, content and documentation.

  • Coordinate the development of promotional materials, including brochures, handouts, web-based collateral and other materials to insure compliance with organizational policies and procedures and accreditation guidelines.

  • Coordinate promotional campaigns to solicit attendees for educational programs within pre-determined financial parameters.

  • Create and implement fund-raising efforts to increase financial viability of programs.

  • Maintain accurate program records and financial information including course budget, vendor invoices, conference costs, travel expenses and faculty honoraria.

  • Provide on-site management of conferences as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Associate Director.


  • Knowledge of ADA CERP guidelines strongly preferred.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills. Attention to detail is essential.

  • Strong analytical skills required.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals and professions, including dentists, physicians, administrators, and other health care professionals.

  • Strong written, verbal, and public speaking skills.

  • Self-motivated, strong sense of initiative, and ability to work independently.

  • Must exemplify the highest level of professionalism and courtesy.

  • Must be able to travel occasionally.

  • Must have or obtain required computer hardware, software and access to Emory servers when needed to work remotely.
