The National Emerging Special Pathogens Training and Education Center
(NETEC, https://netec.org ) is an Emory-led multi-institutional consortium program funded by HHS-ASPR.NETEC has grown over the last five years. With the COVID-19 supplemental funding, NETEC has been asked to create additional resources for an expanding target audience to help train frontline staff and the healthcare work force.
The Program Manager role will help track educational projects and adhere to timelines. The Program Manager will participate in weekly meetings with subject matter experts, educational developers, and NETEC administrators, and schedule meetings as needed through all phases of the content development. During these meetings, the program manager will help identify barriers, communicate challenges, and escalate unresolved issues. It is strongly preferred that the Program Manager is organized and detail-oriented.
Directly support the Program Director to:
Coordinate development and implementation of a comprehensive curriculum for NETEC.
Participate in NETEC scoping and planning activities (e.g. curriculum planning, reporting of measures, website and IT infrastructure discussions).
Coordinate and report data analyses (quantitative and qualitative) and reporting on activities as outlined in the project plan.
Accountable for progress reports and utilization of data in practice to include holding meetings with stakeholders to discuss results, provide recommendations, determine action steps, and dissemination plans.
Provide project management assistance for various initiatives to NETEC stakeholders.
May hire and supervise administrative or research related staff.
Provide management support to the NETEC Education Team and Subject Matter Expert (SME) Working Groups:
Provide SME Working Group Leads project management support (e.g. facilitate team meetings; assist team with prioritizing, delegating, and managing work; guide team in troubleshooting challenges).
Serve as primary point of contact between NETEC SME Working Groups and the Program Director.
Supervise project staff and graduate research assistants, as assigned.
Work collaboratively with other NETEC Team members and leadership.
Performs related responsibilities as required.
A bachelor's degree in business or related field.
Five years of professional experience in a related field such as business administration, research, or information systems management.
Requires previous supervisory and program/project management experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience implementing educational initiatives, managing multiple projects, managing databases, and developing reports; experience leading multisite programs and/or research projects
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint) and experience with various online tools such as Salesforce, SmartSheet, WordPress, video conferencing, and survey systems.
Data visualization, healthcare systems and/or emergency preparedness and response, and training an technical assistance experience will be beneficial.
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home temporarily during the COVID-19 pandemic, with intent to return to an Emory University location in the future. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
