We are hiring a Program & Research Manager to provide program management support for the "Atlanta Network For Training in KUH Scientific Research" (abbreviated ATLANTIS). The chosen candidate will serve as the face of the program for interacting with PhD and postdoc trainees and with the associated faculty mentors. They will facilitate logistical efforts and lead communications designed to support current and attract prospective research trainees studying kidney, urology, and blood diseases. Specific areas of responsibility are related to meeting short and long-term goals of the ATLANTIS Professional Development Core and Network Core and include event planning, curating a social media and website presence, contributing to curriculum design, and facilitating program evaluation processes. Top candidates will have outstanding skills in organization and delegation and managing collaboration across multiple academic institutions.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Manages administrative and research activities in support of a specialized program or research center.

  • Develops plans for program growth and development and serves as a liaison to various committees or organizations.

  • May oversee the planning, logistics and implementation of various special events such as lectures, seminars, conferences, or research projects.

  • Participates in developing and implementing various program related communications such as websites, publications, multimedia or video productions.

  • May hire and supervise administrative or research related staff. Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in business or related field.

  • Five years of professional experience in a related field such as business administration, research, or information systems management.

  • Program or project management experience strongly preferred.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Social media and website editing experience, understanding of health science research, research training, and researcher career development, prior knowledge of and exposure to NIH grants is not required, but would be helpful.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
