This individual will manage administrative and research activities under our Program Director in support of the Grady Trauma Project, a large interdisciplinary research program based in the Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Department of the Emory School of Medicine.
The individual will work heavily with our data and compliance activities including ensuring that study data and systems are maintained and accurately documented. The candidate will maintain GTP databases, analyze data, identify data discrepancies, and research and identify causes. They will work with the team to perform statistical analysis of large datasets. The individual may design and develop databases related to specific programs at the request of supervisor and/or Principal Investigators.
This individual will assist with all inventory and ordering for the program. They will oversee maintenance of compliance records and modification of ongoing protocols. They may hire and supervise administrative or research related staff. They will perform additional related responsibilities as required.
Manages administrative and research activities in support of a specialized program or research center.
Develops plans for program growth and development and serves as a liaison to various committees or organizations.
May oversee the planning, logistics and implementation of various special events such as lectures, seminars, conferences, or research projects.
Participates in developing and implementing various program related communications such as websites, publications, multimedia or video productions.
May hire and supervise administrative or research related staff.
Performs related responsibilities as required.
A bachelor's degree in business or related field.
Five years of professional experience in a related field such as business administration, research, or information systems management.
Requires previous supervisory and program/project management experience.
Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Sociology, Psychology or related discipline and two years of professional level research experience, OR equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
Experience with SAS, SPSS, Microsoft Access, R, Python or equivalent for databased management is considered a plus.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
