Dr. Ben Lopman’s group in the Department of Epidemiology is seeking an excellent candidate to work on a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention funded project researching social mixing patterns relevant to infectious disease transmission in corporate environments.
The candidate will be under the mentorship of Dr. Ben Lopman and will have the opportunity to collaborate with leaders in the field.

The project will collect and analyze social mixing patterns of workers in several companies in order to better parameterize infectious disease models, and thus evaluate infectious disease interventions.
The project is a collaboration between investigators at Emory and Yale University.
The candidate will assist with management of the study instruments, data management and perform data analyses under the supervision of Dr. Lopman.
- A master's degree in public health, a master's of science degree in public health or health education, or a master's in development practice from an accredited school.
A Master of Public Health degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, sociology or quantitative public health field
Developing and managing large datasets
Writing and managing protocols
Designing questionnaires and building databases for electronic tracking device data
Experience coordinating research activities with a diverse group of partners
Strong organizational skills
Experience programming in R or willingness to learn
The position will be remote at the time of hire.
The position will be based at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
The initial appointment is for one year and renewal is anticipated if performance is satisfactory and funds are available.
