Job Description: Facilitate process improvement and interventions through interdepartmental collaboration and planning, multi-disciplinary communication and implementation/analysis of care delivery processes impacting quality metrics. Serve as a resource for education and training regarding internal process improvements and quality improvement tools and strategies. Data Collection and/or analysis in support of quality measurement, analysis and improvement across Emory Healthcare. Responsibilities may require detailed/expert knowledge of regulatory requirements including, but not limited to accreditation, registries and other quality metrics if applicable.
Supports the development, prioritization and execution of performance improvement projects utilizing LEAN methodologies for all process improvements and related sustainability.. Provides technical support to performance improvement teams on the use of TQM tools and collecting and analyzing data. Functions as a project leader/manager, facilitator, consultant, and analyst to PI projects assigned.
Utilizes a systems approach by mapping key processes and implementing value stream analysis to reduce waste, inefficiencies and downtime. Utilizes evidence based practice and data to guide improvement efforts.
Builds strong cross-functional relationships to ensure that all stakeholders are appropriately engaged.
Presents and communicates project progress and outcomes at all levels in the organization in a professional and effective manner.
Develops and monitors project charters, work plans and A3 documentation.
Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's degree in a Healthcare, Data Analysis, or Quality Improvement related field.
5 years experience in Lean and/or Six Sigma or 2 years experience with a Master's degree. Must have experience working in a complex healthcare environment. Knowledge of Quality Improvement Methodology, Data Collection and Analysis and Improvement techniques.
