Emory University Quality Mgmt-Education Coordinator in atlanta, Georgia


Serves as the primary source for education and training of clinical research coordinators, clinical research nurses, regulatory staff, physician-investigators, and other research faculty and staff within Winship Cancer Institute (Winship). This includes, but is not limited to: establishing Winship specific minimum learning standards/requirements, maintaining training and education records, conducting needs assessments as appropriate/needed to develop and implement educational plans, and working with clinical staff in developing and implementing patient education resources for clinical trials. Identifies, establishes and evaluates quality improvement standards, programs, and procedures within Winship Cancer Institute clinical trials program.

Coordinates with Emory Healthcare for nursing training and credentialing. Develops an integrated, Winship-specific, orientation program. Participates and assists in implementing physician-investigator research training program. Performs Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities for Winship's Clinical Trials Office and its affiliated sites. Assures the availability of staff assessment tools to all Winship Cancer Institute Clinical Trials managers and helps coordinate regular assessments. Actively identifies and participates in educational and developmental activities to improve own knowledge and performance to sustain and enhance personal and Winship development. Actively participates in the development and revision of Winship Cancer Institute Clinical Trials Office Standard Operating Procedures. Communicates and models mission and values of Winship and Emory University. Trains, models, and promotes effective customer service. Performs additional responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare, Business Administration, or other related field. Five years of clinical research experience, which includes three years of experience in training, including curriculum design, development, adult learning concepts, and program development, OR an equivalent combination of experience, education and training.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: One or more years of Clinical Research Coordinator or Clinical Research Nurse experience. Must be ACRP or SOCRA certified.
