The Research Interviewer position is with the Georgia Center for Cancer Statistics, a surveillance research unit that is part of the Department of Epidemiology at the Rollins School of Public Health.
The Center has an active research portfolio largely focused around engaging cancer patients in the state of Georgia to participate in population-based research studies. Most of these studies are survey based and require extensive follow-up to answer questions and encourage participation.
Identifies, contacts, corresponds with and interviews research study participants, either in person, in a clinical setting, at a subject's residence or by telephone to obtain data for an assigned research project.
Collects, codes and enters study information into database and may assist in data compilation.
Edits completed interview questionnaires for completeness, legibility and accuracy.
Obtains missing or questionable data.
Maintains complete and accurate records and files pertaining to one or more research studies.
Performs related responsibilities as required.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
One year of administrative support, customer service or other relevant experience.
Data entry experience.
The ideal candidate will have:
Excellent communication skills
Comfortable talking on the phone
Experience recruiting subjects into research studies
- The work can be done remotely but day, night and weekend calls are expected.
