Work Location: Atlanta, GA (Mostly Remote) - While on-site presence is essential for this role, it also involves commuting to our clinics as needed, based on business requirements.
As a Revenue Cycle Ops Manager for Reproductive Medicine, you will support and coordinate clinic revenue cycle functions that include financial clearance, charge capture, billing, coding, follow-up, denial management, and customer service aligning them with best-in-class performance metrics in specific categories of revenue cycle (productivity, compliance, accuracy, effectiveness, and efficiency). You will report to Clinic Leadership/Administrator.
Candidates with EPIC experience are highly preferred.
Description
The position will develop ongoing relationships with clinic leadership.
This role is responsible for establishing, meeting and exceeding operational work flow, productivity and results standards related to the above functions.
The position also organizes, manages, and monitors the performance of the revenue cycle.
Supervises staff and manages employee performance.
Provides on-going performance feedback, addresses problems, hires, orients and trains employees.
Works with manager to formulate plan for professional development.
Attends educational in-services as appropriate.
Participates in professional activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments.
Maintains and monitors revenue cycle metrics for Emory Reproductive Center and satellite locations
Provides and analyzes data and makes recommendations for improved efficiencies in the revenue cycle function for the respective department(s).
Prepares operational reports and analyses reflecting progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
Acts as a key resource on matters pertaining to revenue cycle for assigned department(s).
Performs regular review of quality and skill sets of team resources.
Anticipates growth needs.
Trains staff as appropriate on revenue cycle activities, coding, billing and reimbursement practices.
Liaisons between external customers/stakeholder and PFS on all revenue cycle related issues.
Collaborates with other departments to improve clinic operations and revenue management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree and five (5) years of healthcare experience OR 3 years revenue cycle experience with coding certification, 2 of which must be supervisory OR any combination of equivalent education and experience; OR successful completion of the TEC Operations Development Program (ODP) plus 18 month of additional supervisory experience.
Professional Certification as RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CCS, or CHDA is preferred.
Demonstrated understanding in how to manage resources across an organization to maximize organization impact in multiple clinical specialties (shared resources).
Experience with ambulatory care environments and ability to translate and embed standard operating procedures and process into the clinical environment where appropriate.
