Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • This position is the top financial role in a Section.

  • Partners with the Executive Administrator to manage the financial and revenue cycle performance of the Section.

  • Works closely with PGP Director of Finance, PGP Chief Financial Officer, as well as the hospital CFOs, to monitor Section's financial situation and ability to achieve budgeted financial metrics across the EHC system.

  • Include current duties and/ or responsibilities that are critical to the successful performance of the job.

  • Arrange them in a logical order based on level of importance with the most important listed first.

  • Identify all essential functions of the job. Include secondary function those functions that are not essential but are considered a part of the job.

  • Coordinates and participates in the strategic planning process.

  • Develops all Section budgets and forecasts (both short and long term).

  • Assesses performance to budgets and forecasts and develops action plans to improve unfavorable performance.

  • Oversees the development and administration of the physician compensation plan of the Section to include appropriate budgeting of volumes and salary expense as well as appropriate recording of month end accruals to match revenues with expenses.

  • Meets with the PFS Rev Cycle team monthly to ensure KPIs are being met.

  • Mentors and develops the Finance resources of the Section.

  • Responsible for the Capital Planning of the Section to include development of capital budgets, business plans, and pro formas; must be able to evaluate proposed plans based upon profitability and return.

  • Works with EHC leaders to measure and improve Section's (physicians) Hospital Downstream Impact and develops plans for growth of Service Lines.

  • Incumbent may work under close supervision following established routines or assigned work with limited employee latitude.

  • Employee may work under general supervision and receives general guidance on work priority with substantial employee latitude.

  • Employee may work independently under the general direction of their leader.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor¿s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting with 10 years of experience required or Master¿s degree with 7 years of experience.

  • MBA, Master¿s in Finance, MHA, CPA preferred. 10 years of financial analysis or accounting experience, revenue cycle experience, business planning experience, and knowledge of clinical service lines preferred.
