Description

JOB DESCRIPTION: Patrols facilities and property making observations to detect unauthorized persons or activities and unsafe conditions. Maintains visibility to deter criminal activity; reports minor violations to police or other law enforcement personnel. Provides restraint under lawful direction and may administer first aid or CPR in emergency situations. Follows organizational guidelines in reporting security-related information.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent. One year of military or security experience. Able to exercise physical restraint. May require a valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record.

Carlos Museum Work Hours:

Monday-Closed

Tuesday-Saturday 9:45am-5:15pm

Sunday 11:45am-5:15pm

*Shifts will be discussed during the interview. Up to 5 days per week; 30 hour weeks; must be able to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday).

Dress Code:

  • Business Casual Attire: White, Black or Grey shirt - as dressy as you prefer, it can be a button down, dress collar, pull-over and/or polo type shirt, but no t-shirts, tank-tops or athletic wear

  • Black trouser pants or dresses as dressy as you prefer, but no jeans, shorts, skinny pants, tights, leggings, mini-dresses or skirts or athletic wear

  • Black shoes - as dressy or casual as you prefer, but no tennis shoes, sandals, or flip-flops, etc.

  • Sweaters are acceptable as long as they are in the Grey, Black and/or White color scheme, the same for blazers (not required) or dress jackets (not required) in a Black and/or White color scheme if you have it, no hoodies or athletic wear at all

NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
