Reporting to the Senior Administrator in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences, the Sr. Clinical Business Manager serves as a key leader for the radiology physician practice (approximately 35 MD FTEs) at Grady Memorial Hospital. Close working partners to the role also include: the Chief of Radiology Service at Grady; the Director of Business in Finance in Radiology, and Emory School of Medicine Dean’s Office at Grady. Areas of major job responsibilities include: Physician Practice Management and Clinical Operations Liaison (30%); Financial & Revenue Cycle Management (25%); Service Chief Partner and Department Advocate (20%); Reporting and Analysis of Productivity, Quality, Finance, Operations (10%); Office and Personnel Management, including two direct reports (15%).
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Plans, coordinates, and is accountable for major departmental divisions/sub-units administrative and clinical activities including grants and contracts, budget development and planning for total budgets of $4 million or greater, financial analysis, data processing operations, and human resources management for a division or other department sub-unit with teaching, research and clinical service responsibilities.
Reports directly to the Division or Unit Director and indirectly to the Department Administrator and Chair.
Performs other responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor's degree in business, finance or related science field and five years of professional business or management experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Previous supervisory experience.
Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
