  • As Senior Director for the Hemophilia of Georgia Center for Bleeding & Clotting Disorders of Emory, in collaboration with the Center Director, directs the strategic planning, funding and implementation/management of all operational, financial, business and regulatory aspects of the Center.

  • Provides innovative, dynamic, collegial, and thoughtful leadership designed to assure that clinical operations of the Center meet the comprehensive needs of the patients; that it is patient-centered, efficient and cost-effective; and that the Center fulfills its research, education and community service goals.

  • Oversees financial management which includes identification of, and writing applications for, funding from a variety of external sources, as well as management of all resources.

  • Manages clinical operations, translational/clinical research operations (in compliance with all regulatory requirements), educational (patient and provider) initiatives and patient/community outreach activities for the Center.

  • Supports the team in the design and implementation of new initiatives and projects (e.g., Quality Improvement projects and obtaining Patient Centered Specialty Practice Recognition from the National Committee on Quality Assurance-NCQA).

  • Collaborates closely in various roles with local, regional and national agencies for grants/funding and certifications.

  • Oversees facilities management, including identifying, designing and funding space renovations and maintaining compliance with environmental safety regulations.

  • Develops and maintains information technology services. Manages the collection, auditing and reporting of data for all clinical, research and educational activities of the Center to grant sponsoring agencies and for use in measuring progress toward achievement of the Center's strategic goals.

  • Performs related responsibilities as required.


  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field.

  • Eight years of strategic planning, financial management or related experience, preferably in an academic healthcare setting or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Proven grant writing skills and excellent collaboration skills.

  • Specific clinical research training certification may be required.

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
