PRISM Health seeks a Senior Public Health Program Associate to provide support for the management an organization of the iTech recruitment and retention team.
The individual would coordinate logistical arrangements, develop recruitment and retention strategies, build relationships with local partners and promote the projects at various speaking events.
They will also enroll new participants into a variety of research studies and engage in retention activities with those participants.
Independently uses a specialized knowledge of, and experience, with public health principles to analyze, develop, implement, and promote solutions to public health issues/problems.
Collects and analyzes data.
Prepares proposals, protocols, data analysis plans, reports, manuscripts, and presentation of study findings.
Addresses public health issues by providing education, technical assistance, advocacy, public awareness, and research.
Works with programs or studies designed to evaluate the prevalence or surveillance of public health issues and the effectiveness of targeted interventions.
May coordinate clinical study sites to ensure compliance with patient recruitment and data collection standards.
May provide technical assistance to organizations to include presentations, websites, strategies, and educational forums to address specific public health issues.
May design, develop, and conduct targeted training initiatives.
May collaborate with external organizations to develop action plans and goals to achieve specific objectives.
Identifies new potential projects, studies or partners.
Performs related responsibilities as required.
- A master's degree in public health, a master's of science degree in public health or health education, or a master's in development practice from an accredited school and three years of relevant applied public health experience.
Experience working in public health or with HIV-at-risk populations
Outstanding organizational skills and detail-oriented
Able to handle multiple tasks at once; meet deadlines, detailed, flexible, able to manage relationships
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster a good working relationship on team and multisite studies
Experience with work related to HIV, sexual and gender minorities, and social/sexual behavior
Ability to work independently
NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home temporarily during the COVID-19 pandemic, with intent to returnto an Emory University location in the future. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
