Work Location: Remote

Salary: $32.81/hr - $59.42/hr

The grade and salary of the position are based on specific criteria met within the qualifications of each level, relevant experience, skills, performance and internal equity.

Description

Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies strongly preferred.

General Project Management Responsibilities

  • Coordinates, plans, supports, and executes enterprise-wide IT projects.

  • Provides strategic input for project plan development, budget, and scope.

  • Manages the Project Management Life Cycle from beginning to end.

  • Establishes cohesion for achieving multi-disciplinary stakeholder and project team buy-in.

  • Applies industry-accepted methodologies (e.g., Project Management Institute [PMI], Scrum Alliance, Scaled Agile Framework [SAFe]) to ensure project success.

  • Provides continual reports on project progress and performance.

  • Mediates conflicts and works effectively with managing priorities.

  • Performs project management research to improve skills and identify trends for PMO performance enhancement.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Determines project goals and priorities in consultation with Governance committees, CIO, EHC IS Managers and Directors, LITS Directors, Vendors, or other key stakeholders.

  • Meets with stakeholders to validate business cases and gather facts for establishing project charters.

  • Consults with project sponsors to clarify project directives, scopes, deliverables, and timelines.

  • Conducts bid sessions and/or vendor RFP efforts.

  • Manages relationships with project stakeholders, customers, vendors, and internal teams.

  • Interacts with Enterprise-wide senior management to represent EHC IT's interests and ensure adherence to project methodology.

  • Presents project information at kickoffs, status meetings, and steering committees.

Project Execution and Monitoring

  • Applies PM tools and methodologies to ensure project milestones are achieved and scope is maintained.

  • Observes project team dynamics to ensure effective team member synergies and issue resolution.

  • Creates progressive project milestones for facilitating smaller-scale achievements and motivating the team.

  • Utilizes PM tools to manage project timelines, resource commitments, and track activities and variances.

  • Performs assessments throughout projects to identify and manage risks.

  • Interacts with project customers to verify completion dates and manage resource schedules.

  • Closes project contracts and validates supplier statements of work (SOWs) and deliverables.

Team Management and Leadership

  • Assists in selecting project team members.

  • Coaches team members, reviews quality of work, and manages integration of team members' work.

  • Creates a project charter with the project team and communicates a clear vision of the project's objectives.

  • Coordinates team activities to meet project milestones.

  • Organizes project work and determines an effective approach to completing it.

  • Analyzes risks, establishes contingency plans, and manages changes in work scope.

  • Oversees and shares all project documentation.

  • Analyzes lessons learned and shares with PMO and other project managers.

  • Determines successful project closure and acquires sign-off by all parties when attained.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field preferred.

  • 3-5 years experience in using formal project management methodology, techniques and tools required.

  • Combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Demonstrated expertise in creating and maintaining project deliverables: project charter, project plan, status reports, estimates, communication plan, reports, risk management plan, budget, schedule and milestone/deliverable charts.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing issues, scope, and quality while bringing projects to successful completion within the cost and time requirements.

  • Proficiency with project management software tools such as Microsoft Project.

  • Demonstrated expertise in team building and leading teams.
