Emory University Sr Manager of Strategic Sourcing in atlanta, Georgia

Description

Manages and develops commodity business plans in response to business needs and creates commodity teams to span across the Emory community to drive spend leverage. Determines priorities for Strategic Sourcing department based on metrics and informed decision making process. Utilizes business relationship management (BRM/CRM) approach to building relationships and creating performance metrics for Sourcing team. Collaborates with senior leadership to align Strategic Sourcing departmental goals with campus initiatives and priorities. Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates strategic sourcing staff. Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field and six years of purchasing, business management or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Supervisory experience required. Advanced knowledge of the overall purchasing process, strategic sourcing and E-commerce. Strong analytical and quantitative modeling skills including ability to structure, collect, analyze and communicate internal/external data or information in an organized manner.

Additonal Details

Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with strong analytic and financial analysis capability, a demonstrated track record managing or engagement in successful sourcing teams, experience developing business cases related to supplier consolidation driving spend to preferred suppliers, and a proven track record managing complex IT, contingent labor and strategic consulting sourcing projects preferred.
