KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This study aims to delineate the early neuromotor and cognitive development of infant brains by analyzing electroencephalographic (EEG) signals, which capture the brain's neuroelectrical activities. The research will employ both conventional biosignal processing techniques and AI/machine learning methods to characterize neurobrain development and investigate its translational impact by correlating these findings with clinical outcomes.

Required Skillsets:

  • Basic understanding of neuroscience

  • Expertise in digital signal processing, including filtering and spectral analysis

  • Proficiency in machine learning and deep learning

Candidate Profile:

We are seeking individuals with a robust background in signal processing and machine learning who are passionate about addressing current health research challenges. Essential qualifications include:

  • A solid understanding of machine learning and deep learning principles

  • Proficiency in Python (Matlab proficiency is a plus)

  • Prior experience in machine learning projects

  • The ideal candidate will collaborate with the study PI and the lab team to produce publishable findings and significant breakthroughs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in a college or university offering a four-year degree.

  • Completion of freshman year or higher and in good academic standing.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
