Description

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sceinces has an immediate opening for a physician with expertise in addiction psychiatry, the applicant will establish the substance abuse program within the Psychiatry section of the Emory Clinic, and will supervise residents and fellows.

The rank of the appointment is open and will be commensurate with the experience and professional accomplishments of the selected applicants. Consistent with the current vision and mission of the department and the division, preference will be given to applicants who have a combined and integrated interest in clinical, research, and teaching activities. Appointment at any level beyond Assistant Professor will require a successful record of external funding to support research activities, some administrative experience, and an active publication record of accomplished research.

Additional Details

-Completion of a M.D. degree, a Residency in Psychiatry, and a Fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine or equivalent substance abuse training and current GA medical license or license eligible in the state of GA. Preference will be given to individuals with an established research program, this is not a requirement for the position.-66670BR
