Description
Supervises day to day operations of mammography services. Works closely with the Manager of the Breast Imaging Center.
Assists radiologists in performing invasive and non-invasive mammographic and sonographic procedures.
Works in a relatively independent manner. Assures optimal level of patient care at all time.
Performs all the functions of a Mammography Technologist II.
Assists in administrative activities such as budget planning, identifying means of cost containment, coordinating staffing schedules and ensuring communication regarding areas of concern.
Facilitates patient / family education efforts by assessing the need for intervention, providing staffing coverage, and supporting and reinforcing clinical instruction.
Actively participates in preparation of regulatory agency reviews such as ACR reaccredidation, yearly updates and FDA on-site inspections.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and registered with the ARRT.
Must have a minimum of four (4) years experience in diagnostic and invasive mammography.
A minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience or one (1) year as a Level 3 Mammography technologist is required.
