Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Software Testing Lead with a strong background in healthcare IT to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building and executing test cases, particularly within healthcare systems such as Epic, ServiceNow, and Strata. They should have demonstrated success shepherding analysts and end users through the UAT testing process.Bonus if you have experience designing and implementing a test automation program.

Work Location: Remote

Salary: $41.16/hr - $74.52/hr

The grade and salary of the position are based on specific criteria met within the qualifications of each level, relevant experience, skills, performance and internal equity.

Description

Candidates with Healthcare experience, EPIC experience, and Lead Test Automation experience are highly preferred.

Test Case Development:

  • Lead the creation and maintenance of comprehensive test cases for healthcare software applications, ensuring coverage of critical functionalities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and design effective test strategies.

Healthcare System Expertise:

  • Demonstrate expertise in testing healthcare applications, with a focus on Epic, ServiceNow, and Strata platforms.

  • Stay abreast of updates and changes in these systems to ensure testing processes align with the latest features and functionalities.

Leadership:

  • Provide leadership to the testing team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.

  • Mentor team members, conduct training sessions, and contribute to skill development within the testing team.

Test Execution:

  • Oversee the execution of test cases, ensuring the identification and reporting of defects, and tracking their resolution through to closure. This includes shepherding users through the UAT process.

  • Collaborate with development and product teams to address and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Automation:

  • Leverage testing automation tools and frameworks to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the testing process.

  • Evaluate, implement, and maintain automated testing solutions where applicable.

Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed and organized documentation of test cases, test plans, and testing processes.

  • Generate comprehensive reports on testing progress, defect tracking, and overall system quality.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field preferred.

  • 3-5 years experience in using formal project management methodology, techniques and tools required.

  • Combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Demonstrated expertise in creating and maintaining project deliverables: project charter, project plan, status reports, estimates, communication plan, reports, risk management plan, budget, schedule and milestone/deliverable charts.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing issues, scope, and quality while bringing projects to successful completion within the cost and time requirements.

  • Proficiency with project management software tools such as Microsoft Project.

  • Demonstrated expertise in team building and leading teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Leadership experience in a testing role.

  • Extensive experience in software testing for healthcare applications.

  • Strong knowledge of Epic, ServiceNow, and Strata systems.

  • Experience in testing automation is a definite plus.
