Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • The Learning & Development Training Specialist oversees the compliance training activities within Campus Services.

  • Facilitates training courses on various topics such as, but not limited to, new employee onboarding and orientation, skill-based training, leadership and personal development courses, defensive driving and compliance-based courses.

  • Uses instructional design methodology to develop a full range of learning and development activities for instructor-led training, job aids, and other learning materials.

  • Serves as program coach of employee development programs.

  • Collaborates with peers to develop, implement, and monitor learning solutions.

  • Solicits feedback on effectiveness of training programs and implements appropriate changes.

  • Conducts training classes and leads structured facilitated programs.

  • Helps coordinate scheduling of training classes and instructors.

  • Develops and maintains communication materials and information, both internal and external to the organization, including newsletters, brochures, information packets and articles.

  • Performs related responsibilities as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in education, human resources, communications or a related field, and four years of professional training/teaching experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Proficiency in publishing and photo-editing software is preferred

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but

must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
