Emory Healthcare/Emory University Coord, Revenue Cycle Ops-Full-Time- Emory Decatur Hospital in Decatur, Georgia
Coordinates and supervises office staff and operations for coding, billing, and documentation related to inpatient and outpatient services provided by physicians.
Coordinates section based revenue cycle operations, including charge capture, coding, and edit/denials management.
Recommends ways to optimize revenue of the clinic.
The position works with the Supervisor of Revenue Cycle Operations to provide recommendations on productivity, compliance, accuracy effectiveness, timeliness, and efficiency across the revenue cycle functions
Performs other related duties as required.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Two years post-secondary education in a business or medical related field preferred.
RRA, ART, CPC or CCS certification required.
Two years experience in a medical billing/coding office; medical management experience preferred, OR any other combination of relevant education and/or experience.
Successful completion of the AAPC ICD-10 Proficiency Assessment.
The Emory ICD-10 Exam will need to be completed after hire and additional training.
This component should be completed within the first ninety (90) days of employment.
Non-compliance will be grounds for voluntary separation from Emory Clinic.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (MediumMax 25lbs): up to 25 lbs, 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 25 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.

Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock, Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation, Shift work, Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
