JOB DESCRIPTION: Consults with appropriate staff to develop requirements and specifications for applications. Implements developed applications and provides customer support of applications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Six years of information technology experience OR a bachelor's degree and four years of information technology experience. Positions in this classification may require a knowledge of one or more programming languages and/or a knowledge of an application and application tools.
THIS POSITION IS ON THE OXFORD COLLEGE OF EMORY UNIVERISITY CAMPUS, 36 MILES EAST OF ATLANTA.
Six years of information technology experience OR a bachelor's degree and four years of information technology experience. Positions in this classification may require a knowledge of one or more programming languages and/or a knowledge of an application and application tools.
Recent application development experience in a production environment using a server-side object-oriented language (likePython, Ruby, PHP, Asp.net, ColdFusion, or Java)
Experience with Relational Database System, writing SQL queries, writing SQL scripts
Experience with Vue, React, or Angular
Experience with MySQL
Knowledge of web application security standards and best practices
Version Control such as Git
Experience with Mobile applications development and responsive design would be a big plus
Programming experience with Node.js would be a big plus
Experience with ColdFusion
Automating business process workflows
Develop, implement, maintain local Oxford College web applications for departments and kiosks
Implement new web technologies as appropriate
Build and maintain databases to support college data needs
Create scripts to migrate database changes
Managing test, development and production of all web servers including hardware and software
