Emory University Athletics/Facilities Assistant in oxford, Georgia

Description

  • Performs facility and equipment maintenance and preparation for various athletic events.

  • Prepares athletic fields for events, including lining and striping fields.

  • Inspects tennis courts, outdoor track and bleachers, and other outdoor facilities.

  • Performs routine maintenance and trash and debris removal.

  • Assists with set-up and clean-up for varsity and club sports, special events and camps and rentals.

  • Picks up and delivers supplies off campus. Moves equipment and handles deliveries, as needed.

  • Keeps vehicles clean and ready for use and ensures inspection and tag are current.

  • Performs related responsibilities as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma and one year of experience in facility operations OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Positions within this classification may require a valid Georgia driver's license; an insurable driving record; the ability to bend, stoop and twist and lift up to 50 pounds.

Additional Details

PREFERRED: Personal training certification and/or experience working in a fitness and recreation environment preferred.

THIS POSITION IS ON THE OXFORD COLLEGE CAMPUS, 36 MILES EAST OF ATLANTA.

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DETAILS:

  • Inspects recreational facilities, including a multi-purpose field, outdoor track, tennis courts, pool, laundry operations, multi-purpose gymnasium, fitness area, auditorium and classrooms for maintenance related issues.

  • Supervises a team of students, assists with set-up and cleanup for varsity and club sports, special events, camps and rentals.

  • Nights and weekends required.
