Located 36 miles east of Atlanta on Emory’s original campus in Oxford, Georgia, Oxford College invites applications for a Director of Business and Finance.

One of Emory University's four schools partnering in undergraduate education, Oxford College provides 950 first- and second-year students of high academic profile an intensive liberal-arts program for the first two years of their Emory bachelors degree. JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Plans, administers and monitors the financial and operational policies and procedures of a school or major organizational unit.

  • Coordinates and participates in the strategic planning process.

  • Develops short and long term financial goals and implements fiscal policies to support the financial viability of the organization.

  • Assesses cash needs, manages cash flow and maximizes the appropriate use of funds.

  • May negotiate and sign contracts; oversees the preparation of operations and grant budgets; monitors compliance.

  • May coordinate auditing activities of independent public accountants. Develops, implements and maintains computer-based accounting systems.

  • May oversee the administration and maintenance of organizational information systems.

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with banks, auditors and other constituents.

  • May represent the organization in external financial or business activities.

  • Develops and prepares operational and statistical reports. Trains and supervises staff.

  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting or finance.

  • Ten years of related financial experience.

  • Positions in this classification may require a Certified Public Accountant.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home temporarily during the COVID-19 pandemic, with intent to return to an Emory University location in the future. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
