  • Under the direction of the Senior Director Maintenance Control, the Manager of Facilities at Oxford College leads the overall operations and maintenance of the campus.

  • Ensures that all codes, standards, and university guidelines are followed.

  • Is responsible for developing and or continued management of the Oxford campus' maintenance and operation program.

  • Is responsible for the implementation of operational strategies which includes the use of in-house trades & mechanics, maintenance service contracts, and task contracted vendors.

  • Oversees all grounds, mechanical, and trades work including the planning for campus growth and capital renewal.

  • Works in collaboration with Campus Services' various departments for additional support when required. Works closely and collaboratively with the Director of Operations at Oxford College to ensure that alterations, renovations, and new construction of all facilities meet the short- and long-range plans for the Oxford campus.

  • Assist with the Oxford campus planning and emergency response for critical and hazardous weather events.

  • Plans, administers and monitors associated budgets. Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates maintenance staff.

  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

  • Conducts routine customer stakeholder meetings to determine service level performance goals are being met.

  • Performs related responsibilities and duties as required.

  • The campus includes classrooms, administrative buildings, a library, gymnasium, and residence halls.

  • The campus consists of approximately half a million square feet of space on 40 acres.

  • Additionally, the campus includes a 45-acre science facility and faculty housing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, facilities management, or related field and eight years of general building / facilities maintenance experience, which includes five years of supervisory experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Additional relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Knowledge of building trade operations, building automated systems, HVAC systems, chiller and boiler operations, emergency generator and auto transfer switch service, grounds keeping, construction, current maintenance practices, and work control methods.

Thorough knowledge of various computer software applications, input and extraction of data, use of spreadsheet and report writing programs, which includes ability to produce and interpret key performance indicator (KPI) reports.

Experience in developing budgets and cost estimating.

Ability to read blue prints.

A valid Georgia driver's license and an insurable driving record.

Positions within this classification may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop and twist.

Additional Details

Primary Shift Schedule: Monday thru Friday. Exempt paid position; daily hours will fluctuate.
