The Department consists of 22 primary faculty, 20 joint faculty, and over 40 adjunct faculty, many affiliated with CDC. The Department has hired 13 faculty in the past several years and has achieved recognition for research programs in WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene), climate change, environmental epidemiology, toxicology, exposure science and risk analysis infectious, and environmental-omics. Multiple opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration in environmental health exist with other academic departments and with nearby institutions, including the CDC and Georgia Tech. The Rollins School of Public Health is recognized as one of the nation’s leading public health schools and enrolls over 1000 students in its graduate programs.
